Currently all of the photographs featured on this website have been taken with the Nikon D200 camera. I invested in this camera and have never looked back.
My main lens is the Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED lens. I have been generally very pleased with this lens, although the amount of light fall-off on the corners when shooting wide open is pretty bad. When funds allow I would like to switch to the 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens. I am also increasingly using the standard 50mm f/1.8D lens as I love the colours it yields. With a fixed focal length I find it also challenges me to observe scenes differently and think carefully about composure.
I haven't been using a tripod as much as I should really, but after the investment of a nice Manfrotto 190CX with 322RC2 joystick head I'm hoping this trend will change. Watch this space!
I made the decision to switch to Lee filters late 2007 after finding the colour casts a real problem with my old filters. They are a worthy investment. I mainly use a polariser, and ND grads.
As my photographic knowledge grows I am keen to take more black and white photographs. I will mainly stay away from digital for these and use black and white film instead.
